    QUESTION: Do you always use DPNs? I struggle with the fair isle smoothness on the magic loop. Does the fair isle behave better with DPNs?

    Those are adorable....I have a maybe dumb question regarding warmth. I have knitted plain mittens with heavy yarn and they are warm. Are fingering weight fair isle mittens warm because of the stranding? Or are these mainly pretty mittens, but not too warm?
    I really want to knit these.
