I'm in Knitty --> Mystery + Manners mittens

After waiting for what seemed like forever for the new Knitty to go live, I can finally show you these:These are Mystery + Manners, my first pattern in Knitty and the second of my patterns inspired by Flannery O'Connor (the first being Flannery, of course.)I am just so thrilled to know that they're out there -- wild and free, for everyone to enjoy. I hope you'll knit them and that they'll make you (or someone you care about) very, very happy.

Mittens with pints on

I may be a few days late with these, but still. Consider them an early offering for St. Patrick's Day 2011...or for any day at all, really.

I give you Mittens With Pints On (Ravelled):These will be available both as regular and fingerless mittens. Some of you might be interested to learn that there are also plans for Socks With Pints On.

Hedgehog Mittens are out!

The Hedgehog Mittens went live last evening!

The backs:Get the pattern here on Ravelry, and soon in my Etsy shop (which I am going to update one night this week, I swear.)

And the palms:Mittens with amorous hedgehogs on, inspired in no small amount by Nanny Ogg. I’d like to think that she’d wear a pair.

These are available in both finger-having and fingerless varieties. Instructions are included in the 4-page .pdf for both.

Granny navigated through the press of bodies by the sound of a cracked voice explaining to the world at large that, compared to an unbelievable variety of other animals, the hedgehog was quite fortunate. Nanny Ogg was sitting in a chair by the fire with a quart mug in one hand, and was conducting the reprise with a cigar.

And now I'm off to work on those Thistle Mittens.

Saturday night's alright for...

Found: an odd, quickly scribbled MS Paint doodle in my ancient flickr account.
The weird part? It's still more relevant than ever. Oh, the universe provides.

In other less cryptic news, there is a new sock / sock pattern in the works. I regret to admit that production of said sock seems to have stalled...but let's just see what this week has to offer, shall we? We might be pleasantly surprised, and you just might see a sock that you might like to knit.

Xmas knitting ate my life

Yes, in the mad dash to finish my of Xmas knitting (some of which I can now actually show you,) these two new pattern releases fell by the wayside. You might have even been watching for them, wondering where they got to. Well, here they are: Trestle, and Guardian, available for purchase when you click their respective links...or grab them over in the sidebar to the right.

In case you've forgotten about them (or just don't feel like scrolling down,) I am happy to provide you with some visual aids:

One more time, Guardian...

...and Trestle.

Onto the Xmas knitting! The pattern is Ysolda's gorgeous Rose Red. This went to live with Adriana earlier this week.

Right-side up...

...and the equally-attractive underbelly.

Patons Classic Merino comes through for me once more. Also, considering that I knit the entire thing on entirely too-short dpns (circs and I tend not to play well together,) I think it came out ok.

I should also mention that there are new things in the works. When are there not new things in the works?! Recent correspodence with the aforementioned Adriana over the past couple of days has set things in motion. There will be things to see soon!
