As hinted at in my last post, I'm going to be Miss October in yarn4socks' Not So Sock Club 2010. The theme this year is Classic Movies, and my contribution is mittens (of course) based on The Sound of Music.
Here they are, so far:I'm calling them "Warm Woolen Mittens," and they've been Ravelled here. The yarn is o-wool's Classic 2-ply in Natural and Coal.
And just because I can't resist (and because he's currently asleep on my leg,) here's a picture of Pookie taken today after his morning bath:
Have a lovely weekend...I'm off to tangle with yarn.

These are going to be beautiful mittens. I love them. When are you going to have the "pints" socks out? and are you going to do "flamingo" socks?
Love the mitts, and the bird! He looks so cute with slightly damp feathers. is bathing him hard?
gorgeous! love the combo of the twisted stitches for the ribbing/cuff & the stranded.
Love your new design! As always, I have to admit... ;-)
These are great! I just started my first pair of fair isle mittens and my blog is currently featuring a picture very similar to yours (except on two circulars instead of dpn's. hehe)
I love them!
Wow, those are gorgeous. Hope the pattern will be available to the Rest Of Us sometime!

Thanks, everyone, so much!
@daziegirl: I hope to have the Pints Socks out by the end of the month. Yes, there will be Flamingo Socks. I just wound the yarn for them the other day.
@Julie: Birds are super-easy to bathe -- I just spritz him with a water bottle and he fluffs up and flaps around. He loves it.
@Caroline -- The pattern will be available to the general public about a month after it's released to subscribers.
Oh, they are beautiful!
Pookie is adorable, such a cutie.
